how long for entorcort to work

 I was prescribed Entocort on the day of my diagnosis along with flagyl, cipro, and the Asacol that my Dr. had already started me on. I started feeling much better within 2 days but I don't know what to attribute it to. Entocort is supposed to be non-systemic so they say that you don't have the same side effects as with Prednisone, however with me after about 2 weeks I started having trouble sleeping, a few days later I started having extreme mood swings, happy one minute and wanting to strangle someone the next. I had to quit taking it after 4 weeks because I was a mess I felt like I was losing my mind. Others have posted that they didn't have any of these side effects. I am not sure if I am just super sensitive or what but these side effects are possible. Good Luck

I'm taking Entocort, and I have to say I haven't noticed a great deal of change. I have noticed mood swings and an increase
in appetite. So it's much the same as being on prednisone, without the quick results. Although I was in the hospital a couple
of week ago and was given solumedrol, which is an IV steroid, so I guess I was getting a double whammy which could
account for my terrible mood....
I think you should really feel some relief after about 3 days..... I hope this helps....

The one time I took Entocort it took about 2 weeks to work for me. I unlike the others had no side effects from it like I did with Pred.
