Okay this is sort of a vent with a plea for suggestions.  Every since I started taking Humira 40mg once a week I've had a 24/7 low grade fever.  I can not tolerate tylenol.  Within 15 minutes of taking tylenol my upper stomach hurts and the last time I tried it sent me to the bathroom 7 times in 3 hours!  I am positive this was NOT a flare!  So...my GP already prescribes the percocet kinda off label for me for the CD, period pain & migraines cocktails I have throughout the month.  I've had to take at least 2 (325mg) per day on average since the beginning of November.  Last script was for 120 tabs so I'm getting close to running out.  Saw the GI last week and told her (stupid move) that I was having to take more percocet than the previous 6 week check up because of the fevers.  Of course she dictated this on my file as I was checking out with her nurse and I overheard this.  She recommended me trying the tylenol again since my bowels have improved greatly on the Humira.  Which I did and the result is stated above in this post.  Natural options for fever reducers are peppermint & yarrow.  I tried both with no miracles.  Now, I can handle the fevers at night when at home and can jump in the shower or sit on a heating pad in loose clothes but I HAVE TO WORK and I'm tired of feeling like crap when I'm trying to concentrate on very detailed tasks!  The CD fatigue is enough without the stupid fever!  I'm scheduled to see my compassionate GP on the 17th (which I might add works in the same group as the GI).  I'll also be discussing the ongoing rib cage pain with him at that time which is another "pain" issue in itself.  Now having said all of this...I can tolerate pain pretty well but the fever has got to go!  Randy, I know you may be reading this and this doesn't touch all those high fevers you had but please feel free to share any input!  Thanks all for listening!

I am sorry that you arent feeling well, but I hate to tell you this, but Tylenol is in Percocet. So if you cant tolerate Tylenol you shouldn't be able to tolerate Percocet. When it says 5/325 on the bottle that means 5mg of oxycodone, and 325mg of Tylenol. So esentially you can tolerate Tylenol so it should work as a fever reducer, but not feel as strong becasue you don't have the oxycodone in it as well.

Not to scare you - but I had a low grade fever every time I took my Humira. The last and final time I had a SEVERE serum sickness reaction. Two courses of prednisone and assorted other problems resulted from the reaction I had. I would most definitely discuss the fever issue with your doctor. It MEANS something and they really need to investigate it.

I'm aware there is Tylenol in the Percocet that is why this makes totally no sense to me! I know some pain relievers can be constipating as well. Maybe the 5mg of oxycodone is enough to keep the stomach at bay?

Ides, I built antibodies to Remecaid and had to switch to the Humira. When you say you had a SEVERE serum sickness reaction could you elaborate a little more so I'll know what to look out for. I did tell the GI about my fevers but she seemed more concerned in me becoming a drug addict on the percocet even though she knows I don't like taking ANY drugs whatsoever! I feel the same way about the fevers....it does mean SOMETHING for crying out loud!

I dont do the Cade or Humira and I still have low grade fevers ............too often...........

I dont know about the percs helping you with your D and tummy but I know I am on strong opiates ..Oxycontin and percocets and I still have Constant D daily .........

I would imagine that is why your doc said to try the tylenol again due to fact the percs have the same in it acetaminophen...as you already know ..........
