Hehe! I never spell diarrhea the same way every time. It's a toughie to remember! Is it 2 r's or 2 h's? No matter how I spell it, looks right to me.

I grew up in a totally French Canadian family so when I left for university to go to nursing school I had a terrible time. I kept putting the emPHAsis on the wrong syLLAble. The girls in my nursing class thought it was charming.
I agree with most posters here who are saying that we shouldn't have to worry about spelling mistakes. It's one thing to be able to spell correctly and quite another to be able to type correctly also. Plus , when people are in pain, fatigued, weary.....there will surely be spelling/typing errors.
Now, as I am typing this, I am extremely self-conscious about both....nervous that I will make a mistake.
There is no room in this forum for this kind of nonsense. Spelling /typing mistakes are the very least of our problems. What people here need are unconditional support and understanding.
Lauren21 , it would be nice if you apologized to everyone for this "intolerance". I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings.... in retrospect, I suspect you might not have been having a good day.
The older one gets, the less important small things like that matter. When we arrive at the gates of heaven I'm sure we will not be submitted to a 'spelling test'.

Marie-Claire, I don't think an apology is necessary. It's not uncommon for people to feel upset or steroidy or ill and say things that they regret online. What saddens me about this thread is how defensive it has become. We aim to embrace, support and welcome people in this forum - the last thing we want to do is drive Lauren away.

The mods have asked Peter to lock this thread. Until that happens, please, please don't add to it. How about we all just let this thread die a quiet death, and concentate anew on supporting each other.
