confused  Ok.... I know that ya'll have probably been where I am at.

 

 My CD is flaring like crazy, and I should probably be in the hospital. The thing is that my CD isn't Clinically Active so the Dr.'s aren't really doing anything.

 

They have run pretty much every test lately (within the past year) if not twice or 3 times. eyes

 

I have a fissure about 3" into my colon that has perforrated and is a pain in the you know where. I'm seeing surgeons for that, but at the same time I'm having the C and the D and the pain, and all of the same things that happen during a flare. Feeling the same way I was every time I've been admitted.  The problem is if I go in, I get overlooked in a way I guess, because the tests don't show anything actively flaring.

 

In the mean time, my grandmother (who is 85) got diagnosed with Alzheimers. (sp?) I'm just getting over the Flu and pnemonia and haven't been able to get out and work with my horse which has driven me insane.

Your troubles this time might be a result of the flu and pneumonia. I am assuming you had to take antibiotics for the pneumonia, and if that is the case, alot of people with crohns do not tolerate antibiotics well....just a thought....

OK, well is your having symptoms, how long has this been going on?  If you have had tests, what tests have they done.  Your med list is long and covers anxiety too.  Give us a bit more info about the onset and during of this non-clinical flare if you don't mind sharing.

I didn't take antibiotics for the pnemonia because I can't tolerate them. I can handle Keflex once in a great while if the infection is really bad, but other than that, I'm pretty much allergic to any other antibiotic, and since the Flu is a virus the Dr.'s said antibiotics wouldn't help.

 

Symptoms have been on and off for about 3 months, but I had been hospitalized for 13 days in late September (that's when they 'found' the fissure, but decided not to treat it then -- why, I don't know).

 

It just feels like I'm having a mild flare. I haven't had a normal BM since 2003. I look like I am about 6-7 months pregnant, and I know for a fact I'm not in any way, even though sometimes it feels like I'm giving birth (lol). I have had some blood here and there, in all forms (i.e. color, texture, where it is or isn't) and I (of course) have roids.

 

The test list includes bloodwork, X-rays, CT, MRI's, Colon/Endo/Sigmoid - oscopies, Upper GI (barium one) and pill cam.

 

I can see why the Dr.'s are stumped, but darn this hurts! sad
