Hello. I was diagnosed with Crohns in April 2007. I guess I am lucky after reading some of your guys post because my Crohns is not painful. Just the D and maybe some cramping. I do however get fevers, loss of appetite and weight loss. I was put on Entocort and Asacol. After the Entocort ran out the first time, I quit taking the Asacol. Bad Idea! I had another flare up in October, but this one was worse it came with an abcess to the psoas muscle. If you google that it says only .1-4% of Crohns people get this. Anyways, I love this website. You guys are so helpful and it is nice to talk to someone about this who understands. I am one of those that gets very emotional before and during a flare and my husband doesn't seem to understand as well as I want him too! :)
I have a question though. Lately, I have been have D, maybe 1-3 times a day. Before I was diagnosed with Crohns last year I had been Diagnosed with IBS at 17 years old. I called me Gastro to tell him about the D and he had me come in and do test. He doesnt think I am in a flare up-he said it sounds more like IBS right now. Also I have had 2 kidney infections with every flare up. He is determined that there is a fistula. But while I was hospitalized they did the test and didn't find anything. But he said if it is small they might not see it. Then how do you know if you have one? Also does have D automatically mean you are in a flare up for you guys?
Thank you for all the support you guys lend out!!
Amy
