serum sickness? Arggggg...

Hi guys,


Just wondering if anyone has had any first-hand experience with serum sickness from Humira. I've been on it for about 3 months, I had an injection yesterday afternoon, and I feel extraordinarily terrible today. I'm super dizzy, fatigued, and every joint in my body hurts.

I keep getting little tingles all over my scalp, and I can't do anything to stay warm. (I'm on my couch in my down parka, under an electric blanket and I can't stop shivering.) My fingernails are also blue, and I know I'm pretty anemic. I took my temp. a few minutes ago - 98.9.

Any advice?

(I'm hesitant to go to the ER - I have health insurance and everything, but I really dislike doctors...)

Thanks, Fitzy! I left a message for my GI, but no call back yet. My fever is up to 100.3, so I think a trip to the ER might legitimately be in order. Thanks so much for your prompt reply! I would be so clueless without this site - not just for emergencies but for the little questions, too.

Sounds like a good old reaction to me. I hope you got to see your doc, or at least speak to him....
