Bacteria Infection in stomach and intestines?

I have been having trouble with diarrhea and cramping, went to doc, did stool sample and blood work, stool sample came back normal and blood work came back positive for bacteria infection.  Doc put me on Prevpac which is Prevacid, Biaxin, and Amoxicillin.  Just started it today.  I go back to doc Feb 25th and I have to do another stool sample in 4 weeks.  Doc also said that it can cause ulcers and that it is not like a staff infection or streph.

Has anyone ever had this before?  I had not heard of it until now.

I tend to agree with Reef as the  Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria. It is believe that H. pylori is responsible for the majority of peptic ulcers.

Of course this is just an idea from the info you provided. Hope things get better for you quickly.
