Did my monthly inject for 1cc of B12 last night.  It was the last dose in my vial so I drew it up, thumped out the air bubbles and injected.  As soon as the plunger was depressed the B12 started leaking out the syringe somewhere around the top of the needle.  I think about 1/4 of the dose went on the floor!  So if I start complaining about tingling sensations or fatigue in about a month...someone remind me of this!

Will do.... There probably is a good chance that you will.

I'm supposed to get my shots bi-weekly, and I do forget, but my body gives me all the reminders I need.LOL

Boy you got that right. Between pred reminders and b12/humira reminders whew. I take the humira and the B12 every other Sunday so I don't forget. Got my stickers on the calendar. And humira will even give you reminder calls, lol. One of my last shots of humira dribbled mostly down my belly , (let the gathered skin/fat) go too soon, so I took my next shot early,kinda throwing things off.

The syringe was most likely not screwed in to the needle hub(or vice versa)
Happens alot at work. Maybe you absorbed some trandermally:)

Sounds like as much fun as a barrel of monkeys! I was going to tell you to lick it up next time, but then I remembered that if you could do that, you wouldn't have to inject it in the first place :)

I have a great system. I give my husband a buzz cut, he gives me a b12 shot. It happens like clock work every 2 weeks or else he looks like a shaggy dog!

hey broom...happens to me a lot until someone hear told me I was supposed to twist the needle when removing the cap. At least the B12 doesn't stain! I am buying new bathroom carpets due to some hair color drips!!!

Someone said it, make sure the needle is twisted tight on the syringe. I don't think you will have a problem.  My hubby was underdosed for a whole year.......Doc order 100mcg instead of 1000mcg injected.  redface

Hey Habs-Nice to know it doesn't stain...it was a white throw rug in the bathroom of course!

Zanne-Like your system...but my husband isn't coming near me with a syringe! He's only allowed to keep me from retracting the needle from my injection site when using the Humira Pens. I like the syringes so much more...must be the control freak in me.

Thanks for the advice on the needle screwed into the hub everybody...you would think you wouldn't have to check such things!
