Stricture- What exam should i do?

Hi!! I have strictures, which would be the best exam to do? I did a MRI recently, my doctor send me colonoscopy appointment, which i have cancelled because i would like to see him first to discuss my case. I knowm if i have stricture the scope does not pass. What exam should be best to do next. Thanks!!

The SBFT (small bowel follow through) is good, especially when the scope can't get thru. This is X rays combined with drinking down some contrast solution.

After I had a colonoscopy where the scope could not pass through, I had a CT enterograph immediately after. I had to drink three large cups of I think dilute barium before the scan. It was done immediately because otherwise I would have had to do the "prep" again on a different day.

BEILEVE IT OR NOT I HAD THE COLONOSCOPY DONE WHERE THE PED SCOPE WOULD NOT PASS THROUGH, I THEN H.AD THE SBFT DONE AND SHOWED NOTHING THE GI COULDNT BELIEVE IT HIMSELF SO RESCHEDULE ANOTHER TO BE DONE STILL NOTHING THEN A CT SCAN SHOWED SOME EVIDENCE , WE HAD A HARD TIME GETTING A SURGEON TO LISTEN2 MONTH. FINALLY TWO MONTHS LATER I HAD MY 2ND RESECTION!!!!!!

I had several strictures that I had removed with the resection surgery in Oct of 2007. I had a colonoscopy done and instead of doing the SBFT they performed a test called Enteroclysis. This was about a month before I had the surgery. It's actually not as bad as it might look. They use the NG tube but they give you meds to help. I was are aware of what was going on but really didn't feel it. I could see the Contrast going through my small intestine and saw where it was getting hung up by the strictures.
