Has anyone experienced or heard of an experience of early menopause as a result of crohns or another autoimmune disorder?

My mother started menapause around 36, but she was told it was from the high, constant doses of prednisone. This was in the late '60s and they really didn't understand CD or prednisone like they do today. So I really can't say. My maternal grandmother didn't start menapause early, and I haven't started early, no sign yet and I'm 43. So maybe it was the prednisone.

Two thirds of premature menopause cases are caused by an autoimmune disease. There are many sites devoted to discussing this. You might find "Inflammatory Bowel Disease--A Complicating Factor in Gynecologic Disorders?" helpful.

I have been having such problems! A constant period that won't go away! Ovarian cysts.... etc. etc.

Wow!  This is really interesting!

My periods anymore are very few and far between!  I used to be on a fairly regular cycle--every 30-35 days, but now they skip months and I honestly never know when I will have one or not!

I wonder if crohns can cause early onset period? How old was everyone when you started? I was nine...
