New Member Here!

Just happened to stumble across this site and it's great to get some insight from others. I am a 39 year old male had CD for about 10. I have done the steroid thing and a couple other drugs, what has helped me the most has been my diet. I have to stay AWAY from caffeine, corn, any veg with a peel, chocolate, salads, OJ, Lemonade and Milk. As of now I'm taking nothing, flares once in a while but not horrid. I really struggle with my weight, anyone have a suggestion? I'm going to try the Aloe Juice.

Welcome to HealingWell! I hope you'll find lots of friendship and support here. You'll find that a lot of us are interested in diet here, and many of us made New Year's resolutions to see if we couldn't get healthier by eating better. A number of us are using the Maker's Diet; others are trying the specific carbohydrate diet; others are just trying to cut out sugars and "junk" foods. You might enjoy reading some of those threads.

When you said that you struggle with your weight, what exactly did you mean? Are you underweight or overweight?

Welcome Chicago Alan, I to struggle with my weight, I had my second resction done in 2002 I wieghed at my besy 115 then the disease came back in feb 2003 , my lowest has been 91 last summer. I finally got to a 100lbs and am up and down nothing i seem to do helps so i know what its like to be STUCK it SUCKS !!!!! Hang in there this is a great place to vent and learn your not alone.
