small hole weeping

Ok, this is a crazy question and its driving me crazy. Three weeks ago or so I found a small hole, about the size of a cap on a straight pin on my old hysterectomy scar of 20 yrs ago.

It is leaking out a fowl smelling clear stuff. I for the life of me cannot figure out what it is. I have a couple of friends that are rns and they say no to it being an old stitch left in causing this. I keep cleaning it with alcohol.

So, I do what I normally do and bring my question to you guys. Thanks for any answers. Susie

I agree with MikeB...sounds like it could be a fistula.
Certainly get it checked out soon.

This is so funny, not ha-ha, but coincedental. I noticed my belly button is leaking a clear, stinky fluid and is all red right by my incision from my resection just about 20 minutes ago. I'm giving it a few days to see if it clears up on its own. I remember having it happen before my surgery, before I knew I had Crohn's and always thought it might be just from sweat. If it doesn't clear up I'll contact my doctor.

Definitly sounds like a fistula. They are more likely to go to an area such as an old scar since the tissue is easier to get through (I was told had I not had my scar from the surgeries this year my fistula would have been a huge internal abscess. Mine started 3 months after the last CD Sx I had. It started looking like a local abscess woud infecion like prior times then later that night feces was coming out of it. I would suggest talking to a doc before placing alcohol on it or anything besides just washing in the shower. I used hollisters wound/ostomy cleaning spray on mine while in the shower since it can be used in wounds etc .

I hope we are wrong about a fistula but get it checked out
