Amazing Grace-the movie

We rented the movie Amazing Grace, which is a story that takes place in England during the slave trade. In the beginning of the movie, the main character was chronically ill and said he needed breakfast for dinner. I joked with my hubby that he probably had Crohn's, and later in the movie he mentioned colitis! It is a true story, and it cheered me up that despite this guy's constant struggles with pain and pain meds...(he's always clutching his stomach) he went on to have a successful career and a full life. I was sitting there skipping Easter dinner due to my own abdominal pain, and somehow it cheered me up! I guess misery loves company! Good movie if you get a chance to rent it!

ditto. when they showed the character i could tell he had a gastro problem and thought to myself - he's got crohns. he played it very well imho. kudos to him.

I thought it was such an inspiring story. He accomplished so much and had so much passion for helping the slaves and he didn't let his disease stop him. I cried quite a bit throughout the film. I hope anyone who hasn't seen it yet that reads this will see it soon.
