Does anyone else get really high fevers randomly?

I get really high fevers and I wake up in the middle of the night all sweaty. Does that happen to anyone else? Like no matter how cool you dress you're still all sweaty and you feel hot?

The answer to your question from ME is yes I do get high fevers and then low grade ones as well

I will sleep in tee shirt and shorty jammies with only a sheet and still have myself sweating at times .......

I do hope you will stick around HW and get the support you need

Definitely. Fevers ranging from low-grade (99.5) to 102. Night sweats regularly. I keep a stack of t-shirts by my bed to just change in the middle of the night. Drives me nuts!

I get them too.  I believe however that Randynoguts takes the prize for high unexplained fevers.  Hey Randy, did you ever get an explanation for the last time?

I have unexplained fever too.... I've asked around and I get 2 answers.... 1 - it's the azathioprine or 2 - it's your body fighting the disease. Personally I feel like a constant heater.... one more thing to chalk up to this dumb disease. Good luck.... I sleep with a fan on me - drives my husband crazy!!!

I go through periods of time where I get them, too. Just recently a 3-day period of 99.2 - 102.7 fevers.

My GI always asks me if I've been waking up with night sweats. I asked him WHY he asks me that and he said it can be a sign of intestinal inflammation. I guess he means moreso than usual?!?

Not exactly random, I get high fevers (102+) chills and night sweats about 1 week before my period. It has lasted anywhere from half a day to almost a week. This has happened four times and coincides with Crohns activity, that is, when my CRP and ESR are high.

I 've had the 4 day 100.2 fever 24/7 and my inflamation levels are fine! Course the Dr. said it was viral (yeah, right) I have no other symptoms and my bowels are fine. Then he asked, "Have you been around any sick people"? I laughed and replied, "I work in a pharmacy". Don't know if I can relate to female hormones, was supposed to start Mar.3rd and didn't....hopefully the end is near!

Yes, I get those unexplained fevers at night and sometimes during the day. It's bad at night because I will wake up all yucky and sweaty and usually it is in the midst of a freaky dream. In the day I will just start sweating it out and be on the verge of an anxiety attack because I am so nervous/embarrased at what my co-workers will say. I think it goes with the territory due to the illness itself and the meds. I am just a load of fun, fun, fun...

Unexplained fevers are pretty much explained by having an autoimmune disease with inflamation. I used to get them all the time but since starting pred and plaq I don't get them anymore-well except during the disasterous pred taper I just attempted.

I get them all the time. With me it usually means that I'm about to start another flare. Never fails!

It wouldn't likely be the aziathioprine as immune modultors tend to reduce fever and/or temperature.

It is very common for Crohn's symptoms to increase just prior to or at the start of the menstrual cycle.
