My Crohns has always being the stricturing (scarring) type of Crohns. I have had 2 resections and now live with my biggest side effect which is nausea. I have the nausea because of mechanical problems related to the resections. I take Zofran 8 mg every morning and 25 mg Phenergan. Most days that keeps me able to go about
my day. But there are times every couple months when things get out of control (like the past couple days) that these meds don't help. (Actually sometimes the phenergan works better than Zofran, but causes drowsiness.)
I have taken Tigan, Compazine (allergic/sensitive), Reglan (allergic/sensitive), and now Zofran and Phenergan. I am just curious if any one else have found another nausea med that might work for me in those every couple of months problems.
My daughter's mil is fighting cancer right now and has used Zofran before, but is currently taking a med she likes better called Kytril.
Anyone take anything else that works really well for your nausea? Maybe Kitt or Sarita, with your medical backgrounds, might have more suggestions. Also, any nausea meds that are sublingual?
Thanks for your input!
