Hi all,

I am left w/more questions than answers following my test results.  Capsule showed normal, endoscopy-normal, colonoscopy showed chronic inactive inflammation.  So now we are left with what caused the intussusception (telescoping) of my intestines???  Also, if I a in remission than why are my stools still thinner, snake like??  They did find slight narrowing at the ti too.  The radiologist who found the intussusception on the cat scan said she saw some inflammation in my upper small bowel when it occured but I guess this is gone because the tests didn't see that.  i have read that people w/Celiac sometimes get intussusception but I have tested negative for that 3 times.  I just don't want that to happen again as it was so painful and scary.  I wish I new the cause so I can prevent it from happening again.  Any ideas???

I'm sorry, I certainly wish I had some answers for you, but .... I don't. Stool is fairly soft and its pliable. It doesn't really take a "form" until it reaches the end of the colon and the muscles of the rectum and anus are pretty much what decides the "shape" and "thickness" of the stool. It could well be just that you are still a bit "up tight" about what you've just gone thru w/that intussusception and not really relaxing during a BM. Or if things are moving thru a bit faster than usual and the stool is on the soft side its moving thru w/o bulking up as much as usual. Unless you have known rectal or anal disease involvement I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Not really know the answers Did they do biopsies (spelling). Sometimes it seems to be a wait and see thing with this disease. Hang in there. lol gail

Talked to my GI yesterday about the size of stools to mine start like yours small and thin, he said it doe's not matter the size .It really don't mean anything. I asked if it could mean theres a blockage he said no.
