just had my first barium on Saturday and I would have rather drank lemon pledge flavor than what I had, YUCK... it was awful Also... you might me a Chronie if when the nurse says "barium may constipate you" you get a little happy.... Karen

When you have the farts all night and are woken up by your daughter down the hall in her bedroom
yelling:"Mom, CLOSE your door, your making me gag!".
you can pinpoint who needs to fart or poop during mass by the way they are pinching their cheeks because you do it all the time, and because you're the only one who would even think to look at people's butts to see if their pinching so you won't feel like you're the only one.
You "pretend" to look at the bottom shelf items so you can " sit on your butt crack" so you can stall whatever wants to poop its way out.
Someone tells you you've gained weight and your answer is "No I'm just bloated" and its actually true.!
Some stranger in the grocery line up tells you they aren't feeling well and your response is " when was the last time you had a good poop!"without batting an eye

Celey - that was too funny - give the disease a physical form - would it be brown and only die by swallowing colonoscopy prep?

I think this topic is so funny. I especially like the one about referring to various parts of your gi tract by their anatomical names, my Right Lower Quadrant, my sigmoid colon, in general conversation as if everyone is familiar with these terms. My husband, who works in the health care field and should know, thinks this is so weird that I do this. He actually admitted that he would not be able to draw a rough diagram of his gi system or label the parts.

I'm sure the ladies can identify with this one- You know you're a crohnie (or someone else who spends a large amount of time in the bathroom) when you've sat and stared at the shower curtain so long you see a color in the pattern you didn't realize was there and make a mental note to buy some towels in that color.

You know you have Crohn's when:

You actually try to pass the foulest gas on Earth to clear out the people ahead of you in the waiting room..

You have used fouled, bloodstained underwear as Exhibit A to docs who thought you were a hypochondriac! ( don't ask.. I DID IT!)
