decorated, striped poo (beware, TMI)

The weirdest thing is happening to me, almost every day when I poo I notice that there is a thin white stripe on each side of my poo.  Thin like someone took a bottle of white-out and painted a little stripe of white-out down each side to decorate the poo.  Sorry for the TMI but I thought that was really odd that it would be that thin and on both sides, and that other than that the poo is normal. 

I do not have a gall bladder anymore, and all I eat, literally, is barilla plus pasta with low-fat vinegarette dressing, and sometimes I eat a couple pieces of white bread with some organic peanut butter if I get hungry later in the day.  So I'm not eating anything that should be super difficult to digest or eating large quantities of fat.

The only thing different lately is that sometimes it realllllly hurts to go, like I have a bad hemorroid or something.  I thought maybe I could have an infection or something there and it would be leaving the white stuff, but that seemed odd to have the white colors on both sides if that's what's going on.  Then again what do I know!

Any ideas, or anyone else who has fashionably striped poo as well? tongue

I suppose, could it do that evenly on two sides?  Also, if that's what it is, should I be concerned?  I have had mucus before but it was clear confused

Hi!

I have had decorated poo, too, but not as symetrical as yours.  I have no idea what is causing yours and I didn't ask about mine, but when in doubt, call your doctor.  Believe me, they have heard it all--and don't worry about TMI, as we are all very interested in poo.  (Great forum, huh! tongue )

Sorry, I have no idea what could be causing it but I would mention it to your Doc because you have also had pain.  Let us know if you find out what it is!!

I don't have any idea what could be causing this other than you could be incredibly artistic!LOL.
Do talk to your doctor about it.....bring him a colored sketch ....it might be a medical first!
In all seriousness, it does sound like something isn't right, especially if it is hurting that much. I would speak to my doctor about it ...don't let it go on too long.

actually, you could take a picture of it and e-mail it to the doctor, print out a copy to give the doctor, send it on your phone, or post it on You Tube.

ROFL....you guys are awesome, I laughed so much!!

I suppose I should go see the doctor, I had started back on the little um...cortisone? uh.. wax bullets? that go in the out hatch and it's helping somewhat with the pain.  I still dread having to go since it hurts significantly, thankfully that's only once a day but I figured I'd wait till monday to call so that I have given the wax bullets a week's chance to reduce the pain some more before I went in for the pain issue. 

Just in case the stripes are from whatever's causing the pain, I'll wait a couple more days before seeing the doctor about the stripes either, and if it is still doing it, I'm definitely going to draw him a picture of the arrangement of the white stripe on each side so he knows what I'm talking about.  Hopefully I don't weird him out too much, he's a pretty good doctor and I like having him on my side cool

(Yes, I had the stripes before I went back on the wax bullets, hadn't used the wax bullets in like 2 months)

To give you guys another laugh, the stripes are symmetrical like racing stripes on the side of a car.  I have racing poo!  LOL....

It could totally be from the wax bullets. Or from laying down and having the mucos gathering on the sides...

I know some of the striping over the last few days could be from the wax bullets, but I have only been on them for nearly 1 week and I have been having the stripes for nearly 3 weeks.  The pooling of mucus sounds especially creepy though, I hope things have cleared up by monday or I'll be worried until I get to see the doctor.

I've been so glad that I have been down to once a day and being able to hold it without being on steroids, I would hate to have my happy parade get rained on by something wrong in my intestines again. sad    Crossing my fingers...

Cool, now I have candy cane poo!  It's still doing the white stripes but now I also have a large red stripe down one side.  Been doing that since the weekend.  Ouch.  Good thing I see the doctor on friday.  He said in the meantime keep using the wax bullets, which he said are Annu-cort, however you spell it.  I have the generic of it, so the name is long, blahbityblahcortisone whatever.

I suspect something is wrong with my rectum and I might get a different kind of wax bullets or maybe some type of enema medication.  Any recommendations on which medicine of those types I should ask for if that's what he wants to try?  I get the impression that there are several options of wax bullets and several enema medicines available, any feedback on which ones are less unpleasant or less difficult to use would be a big help!
