Starting remicade this week. I have more questions...

Hi guys, Im in a bit of a bind here Im 12 weeks post op and having a major flare, bummer!

My GI put me on 60mg of pred and will start remicade this week.

My questions are this...... Can I start and stop remicade as needed or can this affect the antibodies in the blood?

Im just wondering about this LDN trial. It seems like such a better drug and would really like to give it a try, but in the mean time I need help now. If I cancel this infusion appointment and try to get back into the GI's office Ill be set back another week. Dont know if its worth the wait.

 

The amount of time that has elapsed between infusions will effect the body's response to Remicade. Generally if there has been a long period of time between infusions then premedication with oral or IV steroids might be necessary.
