I have been noticing that several of us also have fibro added to our Dx's just how many is there of us???

and do you also have IBS from the fribro on top of the crohns? I do anxeity and nerves will bring on fibro IBS and problems. which if not carefull will lead to full blown crohn's flare from the irritation.

I swear I get up set and my liver dumps gall into small intestines (no gall bladder) and I'm cleaned out.... don't need no prep! I can plan on being in bathroom or real close by, till the yellow green gall comes thru, then I know it's ok to move - by then I just want to go to bed!

Dixie, I am part of the Fibro and CD Club. I do see more symptoms when stressed but I bet Doctors would argue that Stress does not make CD worse. I do not have IBS though. I have noticed over the years if I have an argument with DH then I have to run to the potty the stress makes me have diarrhea. Also a terrible boss I had recently make my CD flare when she yelled. My stomach would ache etc... Karen

Yes I have fibro too. But just like Karendee if I get stressed I will get sick. I take Xanax for my anxiety and if I take right away, it will virtually stop it all. Still have the Fibro pain, which my pain meds take care of. No IBS for me, I even just asked my Gi about that this past month. He says I just have mechanical probs from my resections.

Karen & Nanners, it was my new rhemy that pointed it out to me, he said was a aspect of the fibro. I know my crohns is in remission - the last colonoscopy in dec 07, showed no activity except for divertiliculosis? and the last one i had showed the same, but then with in the week of the colonoscopy I have the clean out problems ofter getting up set - if I stay upset the IBS stays too, but once nerves is under control IBS stops. I also take zanax for anxiety every night and then extra time release during "flares". It's crazy tring to figure out what is causeing what when.....
I had asked about the fibro since I had so many of the signs of for so long but Dr.'s did not believe, till now and he is very up with it. and the discussion was very interesting and yes with out a doubt I was also dealing with fibro.

Could some of you give a list of your fibro symnptoms? I had IBS before CD and although bowels are doing good. I have alot of body discomfort and so tired cain't get myself to do much lately. lol gail

I have severe pain in legs and also in my hands as well
Especially with weather changes and also am exhausted ALL the time
I do not sleep properly at night ...broken up patterns

I am just recently DX so I am just finding my way around this and learning what not to do and what to do

Sorry you all have this as well as CD

The "Letter From Fibro " and the "Spoon Theory"
Have really helped me and my hubby n daughter
I printed them out and have them in frames and took them to my FD as well

I am another with both CD and Fibro.  I don't know if I have IBS because I am not sure that its symptoms would be any different from the D I get with the CD....

Once you get one autoimmune disorder, your chances are greatly raised for developing a second & even third. If you note: there have been many discussions lately here about multiple disorders. I have regular arthritis on top of my Crohn's which causes its own form of arthritis.
I'm currently reading ( a quite disturbing!) book about enviromental contaminants & our disorders. Seems there is a link here...

My  GI doctor suggested I may have fibro in addition to Crohn's...I guess there's no way to be absolutely positive about it, though. I just so darned tired!
