I am in a support group for Crohns in my area. I tell my story all the time in hopes that it will help someone. I had CD so severe I began the paperwork for disability. I was sent to specialists at University hospitals because my local GI could not help... long story short, I become the poster child for remecaid. I was the first patient in this area to receive it. I was scared like hell!!! Back then I only got it once. Few months later again. After a while dr. figure out through studies that 8 week treatment could be sustainable. I been getting these treatments for every 8 weeks for almost 9 years. Once the remecaid kicked in after the first several treatments 6-9 months, I began to feel human again. I was able to exercise again and go back to a normal diet (no liquids all the time) I have had no side effects and even had a baby in between treatments. Yes I received a treatment while pregnant. I had to sign my life away but she is a healthy happy 4 year old. I did keep her stem cells and have it cryogenically frozen just in case I come down with any cancers. It will also help my 3 children and husband if they come down with any of the 1000 cancers and illnesses it covers and heals. I hope this give those of you hope when you see no light at the end of the tunnel. There is!!!! You have to be your own doctor and look out for your own health.
