Pressure in my rectum

New symptom.  I had a resection almost 2 years ago.  Had the last half of my colon removed starting with the sigmoid.  The last 4-5 days it has been really painful to have a bm.  It is almost like my rectum is spassing for about 20 minutes afterwards.  The only time it doesn't hurt is when it is butt pee.  Even when it is just mushy it hurts. 

I have been running really low grade fevers for several months, but I have been feeling wonderful.  I do have IBS also so I don't worry too much about "d" but a normal or mushy stool brings me to tears.

Has anyone else had this symptom?  I do have a call into the drs but they are really bad about calling back quickly. 

Yes, I have and it isn't from hemmies (although it can feel the same and it's possible you have internal hemmies which could cause the "preasure" feeling) but if no hemmies then it's from inflammation of the rectom (proctitis) in which case you'll need rectal meds which will reach the area quickly and therefore the meds will work quicker.

You may have to get checked to see if you're dealing with hemmies, proctitis or even both.

UPDATE: Doc didn't see anything on my x-ray but after I explained to him directly my symptoms and not his nurse/medical assistant, he seemed to be more concerned. He will be gone all week next week so he is putting me on some hemmoroidal medication in case it's internal hemmies. He also wants me to do a stool sample (fun).
