 Every day we see things from star treck and movies come to fruition. Well we need a few things to be developed that you dont see . Like, Toilet bowl liners, use them a few days and then flush them. No more cleaning, they are biodegradable. Underwear with heat detectors, so when you get that burning sensation it triggers a cooling blast of relief. How about a micro inflatable hover seat. You know when you get to that filthy rest room but you have no choice, well you get out your tiny packet and pull the rip cord and poof, an instant seat that will hover just over the dirty seat while you enjoy a crud free,, Ahh,, experience. We could also use a side effect litmus test. Just put the strip in your mouth, if it turns red, you dont take the new med. Blue and your good to go. How about a pain duplicator. Instead of the doc asking , " on a scale of 1 to 10 " , you just plug him in and he feels just what you feel. Ooooouch,,puts an end to that,  all in your head DX , right ? Why cant they put a toilet in a car ? I mean , how hard could it be ? The one on an airplane is not very big , and we already have the privacy glass windows. How about an attitude adjustment device for use on nurse Ratchet at the desk." I'm sorry but you will just have t,,KLICK,,Wooooohoooooo, yes please the doctor will see you now"...Hmmmmm, how much better life could be through technology.

Alot of the public toilets I use have those disposable seat covers which is nice...and I do have a toilet in my vehical, granted I have to drive a minivan in order to have the toilet but I'm just happy to have it on wheels and thank goodness for the tinted windows in the back.

As always though, you do have some good points.

I want a handheld wand (like the metal detecter wands) that can scan the intestines instantly and put the picture of the site of your crohn's in full color and plain sight on a screen right there in each room at the GI's office - at no additional charge. No more $2,267 small bowl CT Small bowl scans with an additional $300 + for someone to read the thing.

Sniper -

I want a pain gauge too! Tired of "describe your pain on a level of 1 - 10." Or when you are handed a piece of paper where you mark the spot and then give the level - I always put a BIG X and then put a little screaming/crying face next to it with the little cartoon talk cloud saying Ouch, this hurts! Thought about just creating my own pain sheet in Word and printing it out for each ER and GI visit... devil

GI docs and ER folks (ALL) should feel it full flare force - make 'em go OUCH and grab their guts!!

I informed my colo-rectal surgeon that he needed to invent a gagget that fused the ends of setons together in a smooth, seemless circle. No more sharp ends!! I told him to get right on it!! He said that was a great idea and asked why I hadn't invented it yet. He has a great sense of humor. I envision graphic TV commercials -- "Introducing the home seton fuser!! Now you too can fuse your setons at home!! Here's how you do it! Watch how easy it is for Sally to grab to plastic ends and fuse away! She didn't even burn her private parts! Sally: "I love it! And its so small I carry it everywhere in my purse!" " I expect at that point most people will have fled the room.

(For those of you who have been deprived of the experience of a seton, it is a thin plastic wire that is threaded through a fistula and the ends are simply tied together. This creates sharp, pointy ends that can poke sensitve areas. Ooouch!!)

Yes Vicky, you got me ,,inspired,,its all your fault. Cant you just picture nurse Ratchet,,,hair all standing up, slightly smoking,,with that Fanny Farckel empty headed look in her eyes....Hiiiiiiiiii !!!! Fallcolors, your device would have to be made by,, RAMCO. You've seen the commercials,,it slices, it dices,,,and best of all it's only $ 9.98......PS,,info for the youngsters here,,,,the Fanny Farckel character is from the old Saturday Night Live skits done by Gilda Radner...

I want a box of the side effect litmus test strips please. I have cholinestrase deficiency and the medical community in the united states still claims that this only effects the metabolism of 4 chemicals but anyone with this condition knows that to be BS. (And, it was only three chemicles until 20 years ago at least the one they added was one WE all knew about).
So, every time I take a med I have a side effect that no one has ever heard of before.
Lets see, inplantable alergen filters to eliminate the ever present sinus infections.

These ideas are all great......especially love the pain dupllicator........would love to have several of those!  That would end the "you look ok".
