Hi,

I know I'm not a CD, but I did have UC for many many years. Recently had a total proctocolectomy, temp ileo and now a j-pouch.  My wife and I have documented my journey, surgeries (with photos), information, and overall just how we coped.  Its our story of living and battling UC, we have found some awesome CD resources (videos) etc...thought you might find it interesting.

This link is truly amazing, thank you so much for posting !!! I MIGHT have to have the same surgery in the future and wasn't really scared about the thought and seeing your story and picture diary has given me even more confidence. It also inspired me to do my own photo diary if the time comes!!! AWESOME!!!!

Hi Pooie,

Sounds like you are in a great strong place to approach the surgery if it happens. We really reaped many MANY benefts from doing a photo diary, it really helped us communicate with our family, friends and then unexpectedly others in our situation now. So it has served many healing benefits for us, but to be able to give back has been incredible.
