Humira covered in Canada?

I was just wondering if anyone living in canada was able to get their humira covered, either from private insurance or thru the provincial coverage. My GI doctor said that humira was not covered by pharmacare (the bc provincial coverage), although he doesn't seem 100% sure about any of this. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Since last February Humira has been covered as an exceptional status drug in all provinces. Each province has a different way of dealing with EDS drugs. Most (but not all) insurance providers will cover drugs that are EDS listed. For me, Abbott (Progress Program) made the EDS application for me after my GI had prescribed the drug. After the EDS approval from my provincial health dept, my insurer covered the drug at 100%. My understanding is that if you do not have insurance your provincial health department will cover some of the cost of the drug based on your income, but you should check with them yourself to be sure.
