Nanners....geez.... I sure hope this pred works ok. I know exactly how you feel with the cramping , nausea, cold sweats.... I'm glad things are improving. Just goes to show that no one knows your own body better than yourself.
My thoughts and prayers are with you dear one.

How's the scenery on this trip? I'm about to call my doctor cause I can't take all the ups and downs of the self tapers anymore. My joints are just not doing well. Gut is pretty good, but my joints just won't calm down even with the acupuncture. I'm giving it one last week, and one last taper. Like you, I will be just about done with this one at the end of this week and we will see where we are. I'll keep everything crossed on this side of the country and you keep everything crossed over there!

Well I am down to 10 mg now and still doing pretty good. The only thing is the Pred does cause my acid reflux to act up, but those chewable Rolaids are helping. But no D or cramps, so maybe this was all I needed.

Zanne I got everything crossed for you!!! My joints always hurt, but I can live with it more than the D, spasms and cramps. Hope you get feeling better.

I cannot even do the Rolaids anymore, for obvious reasons, but thankfully I am of the Pred train for now.

I hear you Matthew. The first five days or so on the Pred were great for my joints. But am down to the 10 mg and can feel them slowly ramping up. I'll figure out another way to deal with that pain without the Pred though. The Pred causes its own problems. LOL

Hope you get feeling better soon!

Nanners , I wont say the O word, but arn't you a little mature to be playing doctor ? Anyway, its no fun by yourself. At our age we need new games like, Spin the medicine bottle, Skip to the lou, Skin tag your it, Pass the hot patoote, Hide and leak, my favorite, red rover red rover I feel bad all over..Hope you feel better soon.....

Down to 5mg of Pred and still feeling pretty good. Looks like this might have been just what I needed. I'll keep you posted on how I am feeling when I am completely off the Pred. Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

Well I am on Day 2 without any Pred. I was really sick yesterday, but so was my husband. We think we ate something that didn't like either of us. Feel better gut wise today, but my left hip is killing me. I think that is just from getting off the Pred. I always have achy joints when I go down/off on Pred. I will sending my GI an update email tomorrow to let him know everything that happened i.e. flare. Hopefully this hip quiets down soon, it sure does hurt something fierce. But so far no more D, spasms etc. I think I might have won this one. At least I am keeping my fingers, toes, eyes etc crossed that it doesn't come back.
