Is stomach flu make crohn's worse

Hi,

My husband is on remicade(for crohns) for 1.5 yrs and happy with that no symptoms but suddenly on 3 july he had a stomach pain and change in BM.

I also got little upset stomach for 1 day on 29 june .I'm healthy so i think may be we ate something that tigger his crohns.

My question is if it is then after another remicade it will be in control?

or he has to increase in remicade dose.

He saw dr today and he said that sudden pain come when you went ouside country,you take too much advil or motrin or you have a stomach flu.

so he gave him some medicines right now and said that see how things will go.

It's probably a passing bug -- we can get those too with Crohns and it usually will resolve in time. I would doubt that they would increase dose unless he exhibits long term problems.

Could very well be just a virus or even food. I even have bad days when I have too much stress. But since he has seen his doc I would follow his advice.

Sometimes getting a bug can bring on a flare because we're so sensitive with those issues...I hope he recovers quickly.

I would give it a few more days.....we crohnies are a bit sensitive.

I know I get the stomach bugs way worse then most people, more likely due to having crohn's. I can get to where I can't stop vomitting and have to be hospitalized with dehydration! So I think they can be worse for us.
