Update:
Right after I posted this, I had a bowel movement with no stool, just a huge blood clot. I freaked. I called my Colo-rectal guy - he said go to the ER. I freaked some more. I called my GI. He said go to the ER. So I went to the ER. They couldn't do an anal scope because of the strictures in my butt from all the surgeries. My bloodwork was fine. They gave me some fluids and sent me home. WHOOPIE! I love expensive liquid snacks!
Based on my own research - I believe that I have an internal thrombosed hemmie, brought on by a pregnancy induced flare.
I have an appointment with the LDN guy on Monday morning. I have an appointment with a NEW GI on Aug. 12th. Hopefully between the two we will figure something out! Be it LDN, be it Remicade, be in Humira... I do not know.
In the mean time, I am going to spend a lot of time on my belly rather than my butt, and switch to a liquid-only diet for a few days to give my bum a rest.
- I answered Stef's post via e-mail.
- Rider fan - there has been one study that I have found that administered 50 and 100mg doses of LDN to pregnant and nursing mothers with no ill effect. Obviously one study alone isn't enough to "bank" on. I'm hoping the alternative doc on Monday will have more info for me to read before I make the call.
Thanks for reading, guys. I know it was a hard post to respond to! I'll try not to get all crohnie AND hormonal on ya again.
