Has everyone with CD had all the tests done?

Has everyone with CD not only had a colonoscopy, but the CT scan, small bowel scan,

the pill scan, and whatever else I may be missing, done??  My GI has never done anything on me but a colonoscopy.

With all the reading I do here, it seems like a lot of you have had a lot more test

done than just a scope.  I often times wish my GI would check other areas on me

as well just to make sure they are clear of things. Maybe because I have such a mild case of CD

he feels there is no need. But sometimes I think I would just feel better knowing it isn't in other

area's as well.  I wonder if I expressed my concern with him if he would do other tests?

at least a dozen of each except the pill cam. no need,,, can see all the way with scopes :0).

I had all those tests (except the pill) along with MRI and CTscan within the first few weeks of my DX. yes, I think more tests are in order for you. yp

I would ask your GI about getting the pill camera done, seriously. My colonoscopy showed inflammation and ulcers, but my GI said that if you have disease in the small bowel, the treatment is different. My pill cam showed disease in my small bowel and this test probably got me the "official" Crohn's diagnosis.

I believe I also have a mild case of Crohn's and I still have had numerous tests (Endoscopy, Colonscopy, SBFT, Pill Camera, and what feels like about 1,000 blood tests).

I would ask about at least getting the pill camera done.

I was diagnosed with colonoscopy with a biopsy. My gi said that was the only really true diagnoses.

I am not sure if I am off base here, but you know you have Crohns already because of the c-scope. I have had many tests done over my life with Crohns, but some of the initial tests were to see what was wrong with me and I got the diagnosis of Crohns. Most of the other tests that have been done have been done at a time that I was having a new flare and symptoms and they were researching if I had a blockage. So you have been diagnosed via C-scope, what more do you want to test for? Are you having other symptoms that you think you need more tests? Are you not being controlled with your medications? If I don't need tests ran, I know my diagnosis, and am having no other problems, my question is just becuz others have had tests, why do you feel you need more tests? Just curious. Not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand your questions.

I'm still having issues so yeah this Methotrexate isn't doing too well on my stomach. Its helped my joint issues but that's about it.
I have been able to get down lower on the prednisone this time but this week I'm suppose to lower to 10 and I don't see it happening.
I have to call doc today. :-( 

I'm not saying I feel I have to have other tests because everyone else has, I was just trying to see how many have had other

tests done other than just a scope. (Hope this makes sense)
