What is your opinion?

I haven't been on here in a long time, about a year, because I have been well. I read, but haven't posted. I need your opinion. In the last week, I have started having stabbing pains in my lower left abdominal area, and have ignored them. They come and go, and I thought they were just gas. I woke up today to a very noisy, painful abdomen. Does this sound like a flare? I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, went through a long stretch of pred, suppositories, asacol, the whole 9 yards. I went into a remission, and have been well for about 9 months. What do you think? Any and all replies are a blessing.

My guide point is usually if the symptoms continue over a week, then more than likely I am flaring. I would keep an eye on things and if they continue to get worse I would call your GI. Good luck!
