So I was running to the store and grabbed one of my husbands flavored waters from the fridge.  I knew they had fake sugar but I was desperate for something I could take "to go."  Big mistake.  It is apparently loaded with caffeine and now my heart is just racing.  I don't tolerate caffiene well at all, and its not just my guts that take issue with it.  I am trying to drink some water to flush it out faster but meanwhile I am going 100 mph.   I guess come bed time Ill need to take a benadryl.  At least I will be wide awake to get my school work, laundry, and dishes done.  Ick!

PS: It comes in an aquafina bottle that can easily be mistaken for regular water.

Wow! That is crazy! Why do people think they need to mess with water and add junk to it?! :) I'm a plain water drinker myself....cannot stand the flavored waters. Also, it has to be purified drinking water...I don't like the taste of spring water!

My familiar refrain. Especially after going grocery shopping today and seeing how many varieties of water they had. It's amazing how many ways there are to ruin a perfectly good liquid.

And just an extra note: Glaceau Vitamin Water was rated one of the top ten unhealthiest drinks by a health article(On yahoo i think?) because of the sugar content. Rather counter intuitive to me.

There is something about those flavoured waters, that, when I drink them I am reminded of the dreaded colonoscopy prep - so I steer well clear of them lol.

Yup, I drink 2 cups of tea in the morning and then its water for the rest of the day, usually with a squeeze of lemon. But we moved our Daughter into her dorm room this weekend and she has a triple. Between the 3 girls, there were 5 cases of water bottles. One 6 pack of sprite and a couple of loose other beverages. So I think that maybe the marketing ploys aren't really working. I was standing in that line for the elevator so many times and it was case after case of just plain water going up to all the dorm rooms.

I'm too cheap to buy into the "bottled water scam". I drink water straight from the tap. For years it was well water. For the last 5 years its been "city" water.

Probably a good thing too. Bottled water is so bad for the environment anyway! I prefer water fro the tap and through a brita filter myself. It tastes much better and it's cheaper...although I have to keep at least one bottle on hand to reuse for school, but I don't think that's the same as continually buying 24 and throwing them away. I heard depending on the location tap water was just as good if not better anyway. Especially New York's believe it or not(apparently the source comes from some freshwater place way up north...).

While bottled water is bad for the enviroment, try a bpa free reusable bottle or a Klean Kanteen, because it is hard to get those disposable bottles completely clean even with a bottle scrubber. Always filter your water (you can do this both at the entrance of water to your home/ at the faucet with a filter).

You might have to filter your house water several times, that is why they have extenter pipes, but you can absolutely get fine tasting water by filtering it.  Plus it reduces the stuff in your laundry, which can cause allergies, stuff your pets ingest, stuff that gets on your skin when you bathe, etc.

Yes, I always drink tap water. But for those times when I'm out or camping....it has to be purified drinking water.

about some of them reminding you of scope prep...its the sodium in some of them that reminds me...so can't handle it. That's why I can't do gatorade either.

We started "forbidding" our children from purchasing that stuff. The energy drinks especially....

What a lazy generation (me included) - exercise and healthy food are two of the many healthy ways to add energy.
Sugar and caffiene are two of the many ways to introduce yourself to a drug type experience...the let down when the rush is gone, is worse than the enjoyment of the rush.

Our tap water tastes awful, but the filter makes a big difference.

just depends where you live..i have lived many different areas of the US. Some have such great tap water but then you goto somewhere that has the nastiest crap and you can't even drink it. People say you get used to it but screw that. Thats when i go for the water jugs.
