Hello

I was wondering if anyone else suffers from constipation with Crohn's.  For years I constantly had D however in the last couple of years it has changed to constipation.  My Dr. stated to take Milk of Magnesium which I do occassionally however I don't want to become dependent on it.  I feel nausated, false urges and over all not well.  I feel better being able to go the washroom every day.  Do any of you have any suggestions on how to deal with constipation?

I suffer from constipation with my Chrons. Since getting things under control it is a lot better but still there and during a flare it is h orrendous. Its hard to explain too as people think you either have C or D but not the case. You are C and the amount of build up can be huge then when you finally are able to go it is D. Unfortunatley the only thing that has helped bring some releif for me especially when in flare is a microlax enima and I have tried many things. I do make sure to drink plenty of water and I also squeeze a lemon with warm water and a dash of apple cidar vinegar to drink every morning.

I take a capful of Miralax every day. It has worked wonders for me.

I use stool softners everynight. I have done this for quite awhile. It helps to keep things soft and easier to pass. Good luck!
