Talked to my specialist at last!!!

I saw my CD doc today. As you know I've been waiting to see someone with regard to my ANA levels. Well, he's getting my DNA checked,
it's called a double stranded DNA antibodies study, plus other blood work. He's determined to get me back onto Humira, as my disease is
too severe to leave unchecked or untreated. His words not mine. I'm still too leary about Lupus to want to go back on it!!! But he assures me
that if these bloods come back negative I should be fine to continue treatment.
I asked for promises, but he couldn't give me any. Even if the tests are clear this time I can still develop drug induced lupus at a later date.
He's also doing another test called anti-histone antibodies, this should tell him if I have drug related lupus and not the full blown.
So no meds for me as yet, but at least something is being done.... Not before time!!!LOL

Hi Gail, not so bad right now, but I'm beginning to get cramping pains back, and feeling pretty nauseated every afternoon...
So far though I'm keeping my bm's down to between 3 & 5 a day. So much better than 15+.
I tend to stay on a low residue and low roughage diet, been doing that now for many years!!
