Question about labs

Hi,

I had read something posted on here about labs for Imuran and how important they are, well My doc ordered labs yesterday and then follow up in 8 weeks or sooner if my a taper down of pred goes bad which I started today ....40mg to 35mg and down 5mg every 2 weeks does that sound like a resonable taper schedule and is that to long in between labs? I have been on the Imuran for 7 weeks and had labs done at 2 weeks and 4 weeks. I think this med is working for me so far just afraid as I go down on the pred that things will get worse again .

I just came off Imuran because it wasn't working, so I'm done with those labs. I did them every 2 weeks at first, then every month, then every 3 months. The 'every 3 months' was going to be for as long as I was on Imuran. My labs always came back fine, and I had no side effects, I really wish it had worked better for me. I hope it works for you!
