When do you start the stop smoking treatment? I know you told us but I forget things. I have not smoked for a while and had a bad weekend and sure would have smoked one if I had it. Im hoping you can kick that bad old habit. Wish I had never sniched that first one from my aunts pack. Anyway, I'm rootin for you....

Sniper, here is a reply from her that was on another thread...

Yes and no, Gachrons. I am going to Mayo, I leave Sunday morning. First appointment is at 1 PM on Monday. But I cancelled the surgeries. They are insisting that I go thru the 8 Day In-House Smoking Cessation program BEFORE the surgeries rather than AFTER which is what I requested scheduling for. They are just setting me up for failure to expect me to pay for the 8 Day Smoking Cessation then turn me loose on a Friday afternoon to stew and panic before surgeries on Monday or Tuesday. Yeah, sure, like I'm not gonna smoke up a storm that weekend!!! They are out of their gourds!
So I'm going to consult w/a colorectal surgeon. I already know and LIKE the gyn/onco surgeon A LOT but I haven't found a colorectal surgeon who sees eye to eye w/me on just how carried away he/she is gonna get w/"the knife". Also having a few other things checked out then next Friday, a week from today, its into the smoker's "dry out tank" for 8 days. And then home. Cross your fingers for me! If this in-house smoking cessation program doesn't work .... there "ain't" no hope for me. Its more critical that I quit smoking than that I have the resection and ovaries removed. They can wait. I sure can't afford to go thru the in-house program TWICE. Insurance doesn't pick up much of the tab.
I was just curious 'cause I was reading about
LAM (laryngeal airway mask) for surgery this morning.
