4 years ago when I was dx'ed with Crohn's Disease, this forum was my haven.   Now it seems so technical. Hey Sonia! I second what L said. I want you to stick around and am so happy you are here. The email thing is supposed to be in your profile so only members can see it. I had my myspace in my sig and got TONS of spam. And the sig line thing is just to keep the site running smooth. Lots of us are on it and it is free so there are bandwidth concerns I think.

I knew that it would take someone from "back in the day" to be able to stop and think about what I may be thinking...

Thank you for going beyond and thinking of the forum as a whole, rather than personal opinion. I know that my sig is obnoxious, and I understand the need to change it.... HOWEVER, I do appreciate that you explained that it was a 'technical' isuue, rather than a personal one. I know that the intention was there in the original request, but we ALL can be unknoledgeable at times. :) As far as the post about marijuana, I believe there was MORE than just cause to edit. Really wasn't complaining about it, just making a statement.

 

Blah, blah, yack, yack, I can go on for days.

But to answer your question about the color issue.  As you know crohns can cause eye problems and that it might help some people who have these sort of eye problems to be able to read you posts if you use a more neutral color.  I am sure you did not mean to make fun of, or exclude, the people who have these eye problems. Perhaps you were just not aware that it makes it more difficult to read your posts, because we certainly want to hear from you.

Believe me I want to put all my posts in navy, but I did not want to exclude the people who cannot easily read the color posts.  So that is why I save it for my sig.

Navy - I had no idea some people had trouble reading colored posts. Learn something new each day.

The reason I made the comment about the eyes is because my vision has started to become a problem. THANK YOU PREDNISONE! Yup, that's right. That WONDERFUL steroid causes astigmatism. So now my 20/10 vision is no longer. Yea, yea, I know.... Many of you would kill to have the mild far-sightedness I have, but my eyes were my super power before.

 

Stupid Prednisone.... BAH!

Sonia, I'm glad your back. I think that being a moderator must be a hard job and want to applaud their efforts. This forum has grown so much, the job just keeps getting bigger. However, we need each other and we are only human, so if you made a mistake, so be it, we all make mistakes. Move on with each other and help each other. Best wishes!

Sleepy, it isn't that we do not empathize with you.  After all I am sitting in a hospital bed sick and recovering from minor surgery and I am listening to you.  The rules are there for reasons, like your protection.  For example, I would fix it for you if I could, but I do not have access to your profile to change your email address out.
