Why am i in pain, when ever I stand up from sitting?

I have been on prednisone for about a year and i am now completly off of it. Now whenever i stand up i feel like an old man that can hardly walk and ache all over.Once i keep moving it is not so bad. I assume its from the prednisone and i was wondering if this will go away?

Hi vid I know the feeling and it certainly could be from coming off the pred. have you had any blood work to check for your adrenal levels. I feel the same way since I camr off it for awhile there I just didn't have the body strength to get off the couch. I had some bad body pains as well seems the Dr's should be keeping a better level on something with us crohnies. I went for some thyroid testing I figure I got about 14 of the symnptoms now .As for going away I don't know hoping that at some time I will recoup some of my former body .

Someone asked me the other day how I was and I replied I'am good ,good for nothing. Let me know if you have any luck with this although I will say I got a little better But no where near good .lol gail
