Pacting now, on Friday night, so I don't get tempted to come here and waste time tomorrow morning.

* basics - make bed, do dishes, do a bit of tidying, shower.
* curl up in armchair (I'm always woozy on Saturday mornings because of methotrexate) and write letters / Christmas cards OR fix another parcel OR start dealing with hems.
* write deposit slip and address envelope
* exercise and stretch
* devotions
* meds

Things I want to do:
* 1 floor
* 15 minutes gardening
* read the newspaper

Bonus:
* go to library and newsagency

I'll check in a bit later in the day with more pacts.

For the people who are struggling at the moment, I'd just like to give this little bit of encouragement: even five minute bursts of activity add up over time. I've been hauling myself around, feeling horrible, this week, but I've only just started to realise how much I've accomplished in my down-time. The house is a bit tidier, I've written two letters and half of my Christmas cards, I've wrapped most of my Christmas presents, done the ironing and a few loads of washing, done a few jobs that have been sitting, undone, for months ... and I'm starting to feel a little less stressed and overwhelmed by everything.

So, everyone, chin up, and keep the pacts coming...

Ivy - I was thinking about what you said about sueing the Health Minister (whose name reminds me of a pharmaceutical companies name lol) and wondered what I would do, then thought of all the time and effort and how draining on the nerves it would be and thought better of it. I had some trouble with the dreaded Centrelink not long ago and that took a lot out of me just fighting with them - idiots. Not trying to discourage you but worried about what effect it would have on your health, after all they are all idiots too!

Thanks for the words ivy! I needed it... I take my MTX injection tonight and I'm dreading it cause of the way it makes me feel sad

Today I got up at 4:30am for my first ever Black Friday shopping experience so not much pacting today!

-lunch with mom
-library
-clean my kitchen
-coffee with a friend
-movie at my sister's (27 dresses)

My other sister's family are all struggling with the stomach flu. Please say a prayer for them!

What's black Friday, April?

Jo, I was only joking about sueing. I'd seriously consider writing a stroppy letter, though, even if it's to ensure that this doesn't happen to the people who use the next wave of experimental drugs before they come on the PBS.

I'm impressed that you've nearly finished your Christmas cards. I'm only half done so far.

I have been down the street, gone to the library and picked up more Christmas supplies from the newsagents. I then walked to the supermarket and half killed myself hauling a couple of heavy bags of groceries home.

Will need to take it easy for the rest of the afternoon, but will try to knock off a few five minute jobs from the list I made yesterday. Bonus points if I change my sheets and air my blankets.

I hope your family feels better soon, April. Make sure you don't catch that bug yourself! That'd be the last thing you need right now...

ivy- Balck Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and is the biggest shopping day of the year.  Stores open early (anywhere from midnight to 4am) and have great deals.  Some people wait in line hours for stores to open.  My sister, neice and I just got up early and went to Walmart cause there was a sweeper I wanted. tongue   We had fun!  It was crazy to see how many people there were.  There are some diehard shoppers out there!

Oh, more thing....It's called Black Friday cause it's supposed to raise stores sales to get them out of the red and into the black.
