I have had crohns for 4 years and don't post just lurk in the back ground but remember back sometime ago you posting something about the different stages of the digestive track, what each part did as it broke down food before leaving the body. The reason I ask my husband as been dx with lynch syndrome, this gives him an 82% chance of getting colon cancer, he has already had a number of pre cancerous pylops and after seeing 2 gastro's an a colo-rectal surgeon in Rochester they all agree he should have his colon removed (they also discovered he has colitis with the biopsies they have done). They will be attaching the small intestene to the rectum and he thank God will not have to have a colostomey. This thought caused him a lot of grief. I remember reading that post but just don't know how I would even look for it. I thought this might help him understand what the new normal might be for him. Although the surgeon says it will be a good year before he knows what that will look like.
Sorry this was so long but have always remembered that post and was hoping you could help me out. Thank you and the best of health to you and yours.
