That is AWFUL! I hope you can return to the ER in the future without a stigma from that paperwork...

I"m in the middle of a flare. I do take Xanax, but only as needed (and truly it was given to me a few days after going through some very emotional family stuff and now I take a low dose 3x/day because of high blood pressures due to blood pressures - they wanted to make sure I didn't stress about the high pressures, sort of preventative) and I find if I'm cramping REALLY bad I start to panic a bit and taking the Xanax calms me down and helps me through the pain... sometimes lets me get a bit of rest and then I'm able to work through the pain better...

Wow, is all I have to say...GL finding a new doc...

Kaycie, how do you take care of your daughter when you are in pain and all the associated "issues".? I can barely handle myself when I'm sick, and my son is grown (Crohn's not as bad as yours)

You must be extremely tough.
