Canadians....disability questions

In another post a few Canadians said that they have been or are on disability.  My question is was it thru work or was it the CPP?  I ask this because I am self employed and do not have disabilty coverage on myself. ( I of course didn't think of what the future may bring when I started on my own business)  I am looking into the CPP disability ands I am wondering how easy it might be to receive.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am 40 years old with undetermined IBD, fibro and chronic fatigue as well as some new neuro pain probs to deal with and I am finding it harder and harder to run my in home licensed daycare.  Never sure if the next flare is going to be the one that knocks me down.....

It's not likely easy to recieve regardless if it's through work insurance or CPP...commonly they like to turn people down at least once or twice so it helps if your doc is on board and can write an extra letter to add to the long questionare they want him/her to fill out on your behalf.

I know of people who have never been turned down. It partly depends on how you fill out the forms. Don't be wishy washy, don't sugarcoat your symptoms, and tell the truth.
