Just back from Gi visit. Seems as though I'll be starting Remicade again. I was hoping to avoid it. I was on it 3 years ago with good results, missed a couple of appointments, and was doing so well off of it that he decided to just leave me off of it. Now I have so much inflammation (had c-scope last Friday), that he thinks it's the only thing that will get it under control. I've been on Pred for over a month, so I guess it's not touching it. I guess the bright side is I'll be off the Pred soon.

Hey Dancr-

My GI informed me that there have been rare cases where patients taking Azathioprine and Remicade have developed some form of lymphoma. I was on both for a short period of time before he pulled me off of Azathioprine.

I haven't done any research on the topic myself but it may be something you could ask your GI.

Sean I read about that. I'm going to ask him about it, but he is really certain that this is one of my best options right now.
