Hello everyone..I went to the ER room because i was having so much pain and such a high fever...i had 103.4 temp.  They took some x-rays, ct scan and said it was just my crohns in a flair...everything was inflamed....i really don't understand why the top of my stomach was in such pain when crohns is suppose to attack your intestines...the pain was more at the top of my stomach..i guess i will never understand crohns completely.....they gave me all kinds of medicine, the stabbing pain is gone but my stomach is very, very sore...I am on the mend...thanks for all your commets before....

I'm sorry you ended up in the ER before your puzzle was solved, Angela... I've been thinking about you. One reason you may feel the soreness in the stomach area... my doc told me that's also sort of where part of your large intestine is located I think. It might just be close enough to feel like your stomach? Anyhoo, I'm glad they helped your pain, and I hope you'll figure out what works for you soon!

When I have bowel obstructions I get the pain above my belly button. It threw me for a loop at first also. The pains come in waves like contractions and the next day I felt like I had done 500 sit ups the day before. I hope you get your flare under control and the pain stays away.

That sounds like the pain I get. Waves of pain that seem to be in my stomach. I believe it's because of the inflammation in my colon and small intestine, trying to push stuff through there. I'll be tender to the touch for days after a bad flair. I was hospitalized once for it and it took Diluadid to take the pain away, but I usually take Bentyl and lortabs (which I have to start early or it won't work). You did the right thing going to the ER, I'm hoping you feel better soon.
