Trust ole' VV to rabbit in....
or should that be, be rabbiting on ?
Well of course, as we all know by the number of persons who were Cleopatra in a past life, geographical
location has nothing to do with reincarnation. (Not that I know much about
it. I used to think it meant recycled tinned condensed milk, or something to do with flowers.
)
Wouldn't have minded being Brennus in a past life, Fall, he was one of the good guys from what I hear if I am thinking of the same person you are. Was he the guy whose funerary treasure is still being searched for ? The Huns, Goths and Vandals certainly got a bad press over all that sacking, yet it was incompetent management and unpaid debts that sank the city in the end...hmm, what does that remind us of ?
Me, the only sacking I have is the hessian I store potatoes in.
Sniper, your comments are just what I would expect from a wag, but never think for a moment that I feel hounded by you. You have the right of it, the poop deck with it's transom was indeed where the offboard toilets were often located.
(And you thought you had problems with high powered jets of cold water when you went !) And to this day, the phrase "I'm pooped" indicating exhaustion, comes from the fact that a sailing ship in a storm, could be instantly swamped by a wave coming from astern over the poop deck, surprising an unwary steersman.
VV, if you knew how much Charmin I get through, you wouldn't call me "Winnae" the Pooh....more like "Will Pooh !"
Although I like to think of myself as a hunny...I am all too often considered by my friends and family to be miss beehiving, they don't like puns.
Can't think why.
