Cramping

Cramping is a pretty typical symptom for Crohn's. My doctor prescribed bentyl to help keep those at bay and it seems to work pretty well.
You don't have any other symptoms like a distended stomach do you? I know sometimes that coupled with cramping and/or abdominal pain below the belly button in general can indicate some sort of obstruction. If that's the case then you can try and combat it with low residue or liquid diet.
I'm sure other members will be along with more suggestions though.
In any case, I hope those go away soon :)

hi there. i have been getting cramping so badly when i try to poop that it makes me literally puke. The pain is so intense when i am going to the bathroom...same general location...center below the belly button. I've had Crohn's for 20 yrs and this has only recently started. it's awful...not much cramping unless i'm pooping, but after i finally can poop it feels like i got punched in the gut about 80 times.

i had that exact same thing a couple of weeks ago! i was so severley constipated that i almost vomited everywhere. i've only ever had that happen once before a few years ago and i did vomit but not this time. it was weird because the night/early morning before it happened i had these high pitched gurgling sounds in my stomach that woke me up.
