I am new to this forum and have been logging in daily to read about all the issues...I have to say that it's comforting to know that I'm not alone with this awful disease...reading about everyone else's problems and experiences has certainly helped me deal with my own problems...while I'm unable to commit to a crohn's suppor group at this time, logging onto this site certainly has helped...so I wanted to say thank you...the support and encouragement that comes from this site is truely amazing and inspirational...

Diagnosed UC 1991

Total colectomy and Jpouch creation 1992

chronic pouchitis since 1996

Crohn's diagnosis 2009

Current stricture above the pouch at the ileum

meds: cipro 500mg 2x's daily, entocort 9mg, xifaxin 800mg daily

waiting to start humira or remicade (depends on the insurance)

tried imuran for 2 weeks but had a reaction

allergic to sulfa, pentasa

Yeah, and don't forget, goldy - getting to vent, just describing what you are going through, whether or not you have any answers - that is part of the healing process. You don't need to do it with us, but it is a good habit to pick up.
(Personally I have gone through phases of just lurking, because my brain fog is so bad. But it's still like coming in out of the rain. )
