Question About Imuran

Ive been on Imruan for about 4 weeks now, I havent had really any side effects.  The first couple nights that I took it I did feel like I was going to throw up, but now I dont get the feeling anymore.  Im only on 50mg, my question is I take it at night, and when I wake up in the morning I dont have any D, but mid morning the D starts and continues until I take it again at night.  Im wondering if I should talk to my doctor about upping the dose, or what.  Really all the medications for Crohns scare me to death, to think of all the side effects they can cause is crazy, especially at my age.  But for anyone thats over 50mg, do you take it all at once? Or do you split it up.  When you first started, did you notice that it wore off throughout the day or is it just me?  Thanks!

Ive actually stopped taking the Humira (I need to update that).  Humira didnt do anything for me but give me the WORST joint pains Ive ever had, I could barely stand, I felt like I was 90 yrs old.  My Crohns is all in my small intestines, and a tiny bit in my colon.  Yeah, Ive had 2 resections already, my GI is very concerned with that fact because I am only 22, so we are doing trial and error right now to hopefully find something to put me into remission (Ive never been in remission).  Btw, I also have a Chocolate Lab, her name is Abby :)

My GI just increased my dosage from 50 mg to 100 mg, and he instructed me to take both pills at once. Based on your weight, you should have a maximum dosage that your body can tolerate. My doc said my tolerance is 100 mg. He started me on 50 mg just to make sure my body could handle it, and once the blood work showed I was ok, he increased the dosage. (I get weekly blood work for the first month of being on it, then biweekly blood work for a few months thereafter).

I've only been on it for a few weeks, and it hasn't helped my symptoms yet. Hopefully it will soon! I can relate to being terrified of the side effects.
