anyone else "crunchy"?

I think this is the weirdest thing. Some of my friends and coworkers have started calling me crunchy because I'm into doing some green things (avoiding plastic, being picky about what's in my food/how it is packed, cloth diapers on my daughter, making homemade cleaners ...). I always thought the name came from being granola crunchy and picture my vegan/vegetarian/raw vegan friends as fitting the bill. You know eating things that look like twigs. How can I be crunchy if I can't eat anything with crunch? Hello ER. LOL.

Many of us here are probably a bit "crunchy" but there must be a better name. Any ideas?

I thought it was just the same thing as 'going green.' In which case, yes, I have as well as I can. Too bad going green is still a sort of luxury indicative of rank in the social hierarchy. It shouldn't cost more to purchase food without pesticides or cleaners without potentially harmful ingredients. Ah well...someday..

hippy (just kidding)!! In my high school "crunchy" had to do more w/ a way of dressing but yes, it would involve going green, and being hippy. I go green in some respects but not all.
