Ok so im in the process of switching GI doctors since I can't seem to get many answers out of my current GI. Alittle over a year ago, I had a colonoscopy showing a mild-moderate stricture mostly due to inflammation in the ileum. I was already on entocort at that time. So my GI, whom i started seeing a few months after that scope (my surgeon did my scope), started me on Remicade, and alittle after that, added methotrexate injections. I had one partial obstruction over the time and now, even though it's been about 6 or 7 months after starting my remicade/mtx, I still can't seem to get off the entocort without getting increased symptoms such as appetite loss, nausea, increased cramping etc. I also had another scope done a month ago, and according to my GI, he can't see anything wrong with my ileum like my surgeon did when he did a scope on me over a year ago. Not to mention, I had a CT scan where I drank some liquids (methylcellulose with water I believe), and it just showed that i had some possible slight narrowing but it wasn't too conclusive apparently. My GI said it was fine at the time. The CT test was done about 6 months before my latest scope, which is basically between my first scope and my last one. It sounds too good to be true that my ileum is doing better, since I am still having symptoms. Anyone have any ideas?
