Has anyone received Remicade with a fever?

I'm still so sick, and the Crohn's is horrible.  The doctors feel I am getting intermittent chills/fever from active Crohn's, and want me to get Remicade now, because I am so over due.  I am desperate to receive it, but am nervous because of the fever/chills.  Has anyone ever been in this predicamant before?  Blessings, Julie

Julie, what is your temperature? I've gotten it with a temp lower than 101. I think as long as it's lower than 100.4 you can get it. AND...FYI, if you need it that badly, I would NOT tell them you have a low grade fever. You CAN get remicade with a low grade fever, IF you do not have any other infection (yellow/green runny nose, etc). My GI always said I could get the remi as long as my temp wasn't above 100.4 and no infection. If your temp is from the Crohn's and nothing else - then I would definitely get the remicade. Good luck!

Stef, thank you so much for the reply. My fever never goes above 100, and it's mainly at night. I have a call into my GI right now, and hopefully can get it Friday. They feel the fevers are from Crohn's, not from infection. I'll let you know how things go. Thank you so much! Blessings, Julie

I get crohn's fevers as well. But still get my remicade shot and have no probs.

I received infusions several times with a temperature of 99.8 or 100. I run a low grade fever when I have active inflammation from one of my four autoimmune diseases.
